A little birdie has told me…..E2 Annual Paperwork Requirements
That a meeting of one or other large Korean hagwon association has been held with senior officials from Korean immigration. The meeting was called to present (and I guess assess reaction to) new proposals that would require E2 visa holders to provide all paperwork on an annual basis as if they were applying for the first time.
I’m actually at a bit of a loss to fathom the logic in this and far too tired this evening to debate the rights and wrongs at any length. Suffice to say that the idea is absolutely ludicrous and has no practical benefit whatsoever.
Apparently, the hagwon association wasn’t too happy either but I suspect for slightly different reasons than my own.
We’ll just have to wait and see.
